The Winter Satellite Workshop is the leading New Space event in Finland, Scandinavia, and the Baltic region. It brings together multiple space-focused events under one umbrella, creating a unique forum for collaboration and exchange. The workshop unites space technology experts, scientists, and students to explore emerging topics in the rapidly evolving space sector. Its scope covers New Space developments, small satellite missions and platforms, space science and instrumentation, Earth observation, and the sustainable use of space.
Our goal is to strengthen collaboration in the European space sector across generations and disciplines, bringing together students, academics, industry, innovators, policymakers, and funding agencies.
2026 will mark a turning point for Europe’s space ecosystem. Key decisions will shape the next decade: the outcomes of the ESA Ministerial Council meeting, the negotiations of the next EU Multiannual Financial Framework and its Competitiveness Fund, and the development of the future EU Space Programme and its components.
The European Space Conference will provide a platform to debate these critical issues, and also engage in high-level dialogues on upcoming space and defence initiatives, national space strategies, and Europe’s role in global partnerships.
This inaugural event marks the merger of two prominent conferences—the Munich New Space Summit and the Munich Satellite Navigation Summit—creating a comprehensive platform that unites the New Space sector with satellite navigation communities.
Munich Space Week is part of the Space Golden League, an alliance of four major European space events. The league includes events in Brussels, Paris, Rome, and Munich. Its goal is to strengthen Europe’s space economy through collaboration and innovation.
The event aims to promote cross-sector cooperation to drive innovation and efficiency. It also seeks to enhance Europe’s strategic autonomy in the global space market.

Authors are invited to contribute to this year’s theme Swarming the Skies, Soaring Beyond: from VLEO to Deep Space. As in the tradition of the 4S Symposium, the selected papers will be discussed in a dedicated session on the first day of the event.
The programme will also cover technical sessions, such as mission and system analysis, applications such as earth observation, science, telecommunication and navigation, new technologies at system, sub-system and component level. A special session will be dedicated to small satellites access to space, addressing launchers, in-orbit transfer vehicles and platform cross-compatibility.
A CubeSat workshop will be held in parallel to the 4S Symposium from Tuesday until Friday.
The 4S Symposium will also host a product Exhibition to display hardware, software, and services. The programme is complemented by several events providing networking opportunities.
Once again, the global space resources community will gather in Luxembourg to connect, exchange knowledge, and explore the future of space and terrestrial resource utilisation.
In the days leading up to the conference, we will also host the internationally recognised Professional Course on Space Resources, offering participants a unique opportunity to deepen their expertise before joining the main event.

27th ESA Symposium on European Rocket and Balloon Programmes and Related Research
Organised by:
ESA
This Symposium will be the 27th in a series of conferences initiated in 1973 by the Member States of EASP to provide a platform for scientists and engineers using sounding rockets and balloons in their research, and to advance progress in related scientific disciplines. The scope of the Symposium also includes related ground-based, aircraft and satellite research, new developments in technology, improvements of range facilities, and space education.
The Symposium participants are given the opportunity to report on their latest achievements and future plans in the various scientific and technical fields. It is a widely recognised occasion for efficient communication between scientists, engineers from industry, project managers and range personnel, and thus a good starting point for stronger collaboration.
The Symposium highlights new trends and latest developments in the use of sounding rockets and balloons for scientific research, facilitating the establishment of strategic roadmaps towards the future of the subject activities.
ILA Berlin leads in innovation, new technology, and sustainability, bringing the world's aerospace industry to the center of Europe every two years - next time from June 10 to 14, 2026.
