Media representatives are cordially invited to express their interest in attending a media event at Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, for the launch of the European Space Agency’s Biomass satellite on a Vega-C launcher. Journalists wishing to participate in the launch media programme detailed below, are asked to submit their application via ESA’s media accreditation page by Friday 14 March 2025, 15:00 CET.

The Purpose is to present to Industry the content of the Programme Proposal relevant to industry for the CM25 preparation, and hence the significant industrial opportunities of the exciting and ambitious projects of the European Exploration Envelop Programme. In view of the dynamic international exploration context, it is expected that there will be an extended attendance and varied industrial participation of relevant technological sectors, with opportunities for networking among industry and also with ESA HRE management.

On 3-4 April 2025, ESA is organising an information event for industry dedicated to the upcoming ESA Council at Ministerial Level (CM25) in November.

Today PNT services from space are challenged from many directions. Jamming and spoofing events are at an all-time high, but also solar activity is at its maximum causing degraded navigation accuracy or malfunctioning systems in space and on earth. Whereas the everyday use of GNSS by smartphones is still perceived as perfectly normal, those challenges clearly impact operations of safety critical autonomous systems on land, at sea and in the air. The same is true for critical infrastructure depending on space based PNT and required to operate it. But with the help of modernized GNSS including possible support via LEO-PNT, terrestrial navigation systems or other sensors, GNSS will continue to provide reliable services from the Earth to the Moon’s surface.
